Foremula & Forebidden’s newest sibling have left the Ara Damansara township and ventured into uncharted waters in Section 13.
Their decor and signage has some telltale signs that they belong to the same owner and there’s some resemblance in terms of branding / look and feel. Except this is full-blown millennial pink and very relevant in 2019!
First up, I ordered the tropical summer salad which is made up of grilled pineapple, mini orange slices, honeydew, berries and greens. I really love having fruits in my salad and that was how I instantly gravitate towards ordering this. I liked it but I thought it could do with more fruits (personal preference).
Here’s the sambal-dy’s big breakfast. Putting a twist to the otherwise basic big breakfast with homemade sambal baked beans. I thought it was pretty unique and those who enjoy spicy food will love this because you won’t need to request for chili sauce.
Their egg waffle-diet is their rendition of a classic eggs Benedict. Served on a pandan waffle, it doesn’t get any more Malaysian than this!
Money bag guarantee earned the #1 spot for best dish of the afternoon. It is a chef’s signature for a reason and I like how they turned the otherwise dull vanilla crepe into this aesthetically beautiful dessert without loosing flavor.
The vanilla crepe shaped in a money bag is stuffed with caramelised apples and served with homemade coconut sorbet and salted gula melaka apart from a side of mint flavored cake bits and berries.
Staying very true to their identity and creating absolutely delicious food with a twist, therefore cafe is worth a visit for more than their Instagram-worthy interior.
