Malaysian Creative Agency Embraces Handwritten Traditions This Lunar New Year

06 Jan 2020

PETALING JAYA, 6 January 2020 — Storied traditions and modern-day celebrations come together this Lunar New Year as creative group FOREFRONT invites everyone to usher in good times.

Titled Bringing in Good Times (好年华), FOREFRONT’s Lunar New Year campaign encourages people to reflect on life’s blessings and engage in New Year traditions, like sending well wishes to family and friends while gifting ang pow packets, reminiscing about the good times in the past year, and setting meaningful aspirations for their future self.

“Going into the new decade, we want to encourage everyone to count their blessings, appreciate the good times we have in the present, and look forward to future opportunities,” said Jeff Chang, CEO, FOREFRONT. “The Bringing in Good Times campaign is a reminder of the reasons why we celebrate the New Year and how we can enter 2020 in high spirits.”

“As a gesture of appreciation, we are gifting exclusive Bringing in Good Times packages to clients, brand partners, and friends of FOREFRONT,” Jeff continued. “These Year of the Mouse packages consist of ang pow packets with knot tassels, as well as rice crackers that allude to the Chinese belief of rice symbolising wealth and good health.”

In hues of shimmery rose gold and radiant red, the ang pow packets open up to reveal a dedicated space for handwritten wishes, while embossed borders decorate the envelopes.

To further usher in the good times, FOREFRONT’s Lunar New Year microsite also allows users to step back and reflect on their past year through an interactive experience where they answer a curated questionnaire. Participants are encouraged to share their final score as a public Facebook post, with the hashtag #ForeGoodTimes, to stand a chance to win FOREFRONT’s limited-edition ang pow packets. Closing date for the ang pow giveaway is 12th January 2020.

Additionally, users can compose a note to their future self (affirmations for self-improvement, goals to achieve, etc.). Selected responses will receive handwritten versions by post, while all participants will receive them by email, at a later date, as a reminder of their aspirations.
